Live-Out Nanny, Bromley BR6, South London

This warm and easy-going family in Petts Wood are looking for someone to join them for a few weeks whilst their much-loved nanny is on annual leave. They have two chatty, bubbly children, aged 7 and 9, and need a confident nanny to take over their after-school routine on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout November. The core hours are 2:30pm to 6:30pm, but if you’re looking for more hours they can offer a start from around 11am.

Your afternoons start with the school run to Sidcup, around a 20-minute drive from home, before heading to local clubs including ballet on Wednesdays and gymnastics on Thursdays. You’ll then take everyone home for tea, homework and the start of the bedtime routine. You’ll have use of the family car, so you’ll need to be a confident driver with a clean licence.

If you’d like the extra hours, there’s always plenty to get ahead with before school pick-up, from the children’s laundry and bedding to keeping their bedrooms and playroom organised and batch cooking some of their dinners. The family are happy to be flexible, so the role can work equally well for someone looking for a few regular afternoons or someone who would prefer longer days.

They’re also looking for three full days of cover over half-term, from Tuesday 20th to Thursday 22nd October. That role is advertised separately, but if you’re available for both, the family would love the continuity of having the same nanny throughout.
