Electrical Fitter

We’re hiring an Electrical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturing team based in Hyde.

In this role, you’ll be working on the electrical fitting and wiring of bespoke conveyor systems – from new builds and customer modifications through to on‑site installations – in a hands‑on environment where no two days are the same.

• £15.83 – £17.50 p/h
• Mon – Fri | 8am – 4:30pm (37 hours)
• Early finish on Fridays

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?

• Routing, fitting, and securing cables and wiring looms within machinery
• Cable management across a range of bespoke and customer conveyor systems
• Connecting and testing motors, sensors, and electrical components
• Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to carry out installations
• Supporting the electrical setup of both rental and customer conveyor systems
• Conducting electrical testing and fault‑finding
• Completing wiring on pre‑built control panels
• Ensuring all work meets electrical safety standards and quality procedures

What do you need?

• Time-served with relevant electrical qualifications – including 18th Edition (BS 7671)
• Proven experience in electrical fitting, panel wiring, or a similar hands‑on electrical role
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with wiring looms and cable management
• Understanding of industrial machinery or conveyor systems (advantageous)
