About the role
Looking for a role that’s as rewarding as it is fun? At Roselight, you’ll be supporting six sociable and independent people in their 20s and 30s to live life their way, building confidence, achieving goals and enjoying the things they love most.
Life here is busy, active and full of personality. You could be helping someone volunteer at a local food bank, the next you might be heading out for a cinema trip, a visit to the zoo, a theatre show in London or a ride on a much‑loved steam train. Back at home, you could be chatting about the latest Grand Theft Auto mission, admiring a newly painted model vehicle, supporting someone to plan a bike ride, or hearing all about their latest swimming session. The people we support have a great sense of humour, enjoy spending time together and are always looking for new experiences.
Day to day, you’ll provide guidance with budgeting, meal planning and preparing food independently, household tasks and achieving personal goals. Personal care support is minimal and mainly involves gentle prompts and encouragement when needed.
If you love building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence and sharing in life’s everyday adventures, you’ll find no two days are ever quite the same at Roselight.
Shifts: 7am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm, Sleep Ins and weekends
About you
You’ll be the kind of person who genuinely enjoys helping others thrive. Positive, patient and encouraging, you’ll understand when to offer support and when to take a step back, empowering people to build confidence, develop life skills and maintain their independence.
A great match for Roselight will be someone who is approachable, reliable and able to build strong, trusting relationships. You’ll enjoy getting to know people as individuals, taking an interest in what matters to them and supporting them to achieve their goals in a way that works for them.
You’ll have good communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to support people with everyday tasks such as budgeting, meal planning, household responsibilities and making informed choices. You’ll also be flexible and happy to embrace a varied role, bringing enthusiasm and a sense of humour to daily life.
Most importantly, you’ll share our values of respect, inclusion and person‑centred support. While experience is welcome, it’s your compassion, emotional intelligence and genuine desire to make a positive difference that will make you successful in this role.
