Make a Difference Every Day!

Do you have the passion to help others live happy, fulfilled lives?
At Priority , part of Orbis Education & Care , we deliver truly person-centred support — real people helping real people to thrive.

We’re now looking for Support Workers to join our friendly, supportive team at our beautiful four-bedroom home near Bridgend , set within two acres of peaceful Welsh countryside. This warm, nurturing environment is a place where individuals with complex needs — including learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism — can grow in confidence, develop life skills and enjoy greater independence.

If you want to play a meaningful role in helping people achieve their potential, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting adults with their daily needs to ensure emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships so each person feels safe, valued and understood.
  • Encouraging independence and helping people develop essential life skills.
  • Supporting activities at home, during education programmes, or out in the community.
  • Working closely with your team to tailor support to each individual’s needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of progress, activities and any incidents.
  • Helping with day-to-day household tasks like cooking, cleaning and meal preparation.

What We’re Looking For in a Support Worker

You don’t need previous care experience — just the right values and attitude. We’re looking for:

  • A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, can‑do mindset.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and waking nights as part of a rota.
  • A full UK driving licence (due to our peaceful rural location).
  • A willingness to learn — full training is provided!

Right to Work Requirement

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and, where applicable, hold a visa with at least 18 months remaining at the time of application. We cannot accept applications from Student Visa holders or candidates requiring sponsorship or sponsorship transfers. Successful candidates with a time‑limited right to work will be employed on a fixed‑term contract ending on their visa expiry date.

Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check .

What We Can Offer You

Working as a Support Worker with us means joining an organisation that genuinely values its people.

  • Support at every step – Employee Assistance, Wellbeing Champions and Salary Finance Support.
  • Blue Light Card – discounts on over 15,000 UK retailers and businesses.
  • Refer a Friend bonus – earn up to £1,000!
  • Build your career here – funded QCF and genuine progression – 97% of our managers were promoted internally.
  • Health Shield Plan - after probation.
  • Enhanced maternity/ paternity – after 12 months of continuous service.
  • Proud signatory of the JGHR Pledge – paid time off for cancer screening and appointments.
