We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging PersonalAssistant (PA) or Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join a dedicated teamsupporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley.This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy toget involved.If you enjoy board games, electronic games, storytelling andbuilding genuine connections, this could be a brilliant match.

Meet Our Client

You will be supporting a young man who enjoys regular interaction,games and engaging activities. They are looking for a proactive, friendly andenergetic Support Worker with a playful and bubbly personality who can providecompanionship and keep them engaged through activities such as board games,electronic games and reading. The individual has Worster-Drought Syndrome,hypothyroidism, complex epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a Vagus NerveStimulator (VNS), scoliosis, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD andPathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). The ideal candidate will be patient,adaptable and confident in supporting someone with complex health andbehavioural needs while promoting a fun, positive and engaging environment.

About You

• Eligibilityto Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK.Home CareDirect does not offer sponsorship or work visas
• Knowledgeof Epilepsy is essential
• Experienceand Knowledge of Behaviours with Restraint/Breakaway – Essential
• PreviousCare experience is desirable
• Willingto be Playful and learn/play with the client
• Friendly,patient, and well organised
• Fullclean UK driving licence(25+ for insurance purposes) – Desirable
• Clearand confident in spoken English, with the ability to communicateeffectively with the person being supported and the wider team
• Willingto pick up shifts on the day duties should this be required.
