We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Carterton Vets on a full‑time basis.

Carterton Veterinary Surgery is a small animal practice based in Carterton, Oxfordshire. We are a small team of 2 full time vets, 4 RVN’s and a Practice Manger.

Carterton is a small town with a variety of shops, restaurants and a weekly market all set in an idyllic location, with a diverse culture being very close to RAF Brize Norton. Oxford is around a 30 minute drive away via the A34 and beautiful Cotswold villages are right on our doorstep, making Carterton a perfect choice to live and work.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Working 4 days a week
• 1:8 Saturday mornings

General Responsibilities

• Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during surgical procedures
• Running nurse clinics and providing client education
• General nursing duties, including maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Anaesthetic monitoring and perioperative patient care
