£25,000 basic + uncapped commission | Chelmsford

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Sales Executive to join their growing team as they establish their new Chelmsford office.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities.

Working across a portfolio of established and growing brands, you'll be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of conferences, awards, networking events, gala dinners, sponsorship packages, exhibition space, media opportunities and digital marketing solutions.

This is a highly client-facing role, combining proactive sales activity with regular networking and relationship building. You'll spend the majority of your week in the Chelmsford office, with one day typically dedicated to travelling to meet clients, attend networking events, conferences and other business events across the UK and, where required, further afield.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell sponsorship, exhibition, delegate and media packages across the company's brands.
• Build relationships with senior decision-makers, business owners, marketing leaders and industry suppliers.
• Generate new business through proactive sales activity.
• Make regular outbound sales calls to new and existing prospects to generate leads, develop opportunities and secure meetings.
• Attend networking, trade and industry events to generate leads and develop client relationships.
• Represent the business professionally at conferences, exhibitions, awards ceremonies and business events.
• Identify potential speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and commercial partners.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to closing.
• Support the continued commercial growth of the company's events and media portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

• Confident meeting new people and building strong business relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify sales opportunities.
• Comfortable representing a business at networking events, conferences and exhibitions.
• Confident picking up the phone, speaking to new prospects and building rapport quickly.
• Driven, ambitious and motivated by targets and earning commission.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK when required.
