Solicitor / Legal Executive / Senior Case Handler

• Location: Bristol (2 days in office)

Join our clients Claimant Serious and Catastrophic Personal Injury team, a national law firm known for delivering high-quality legal services. Reed are seeking a professional with expertise in handling cases involving motor and vulnerable road users such as cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians. This role is ideal for someone who is adept at managing a diverse caseload and is committed to achieving excellent outcomes for our clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a mixed caseload of Fast Track & Intermediate cases, focusing on serious and catastrophic injuries.
• Conduct litigation independently on own files from the issue of proceedings through to trial.
• Ensure compliance with agreed service standards and effectively communicate with individuals and insurer clients.
• Provide training and case planning support to trainee case handlers; undertake supervision duties as directed.
• Participate actively in weekly team meetings and contribute to business development through networking events.
• Handle administrative duties and other responsibilities as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing caseloads dealing with motor and vulnerable road users.
• Experience in handling cases involving polytrauma, pain disorders, psychiatric disorders, moderate brain injuries, and fatal injury claims is highly desirable.
• Strong litigation skills, with the ability to handle all aspects from the issue of proceedings to trial.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Computer literacy and capability to undertake own typing.
• A team player who shows initiative, enthusiasm, and a common-sense approach to work.
