Child Care / Family Law Solicitor

We are looking for a dedicated Child Care / Family Law Solicitor to join our expanding team and play a key role in delivering exceptional legal services in public and private children law matters.

This is a full-time role, You will manage a varied caseload of child care and family law matters, representing parents, family members, and children in sensitive and complex proceedings. The role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive team while developing your advocacy and case management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of public law children matters including care proceedings and preproceedings.
• Conducting advocacy at hearings where appropriate. Drafting legal documents, statements, and applications.
• Liaising with clients, counsel, local authorities, and other professionals.
• Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements where applicable.
• Delivering excellent client care in emotionally sensitive cases.

Requirments

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Child Care / Family Law.
• Experience handling public children law matters (essential).
• Children Panel membership (desirable but not essential), consideration of support in panel accreditation.
• NQ Solicitors considered as full training and support is available.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
• Compassionate and professional approach when working with vulnerable clients.
