We are looking for a Reception Supervisor to join the team at Villiers Hotel , a well-established hotel in the heart of Buckingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, organised and guest-focused individual who enjoys leading a team and delivering an exceptional level of customer service.

About the Role

As Reception Supervisor, you will play an important role in the smooth and efficient running of our Front Office operation. Working closely with the management team, you will help lead and support the reception team, ensuring our guests receive a warm, professional and memorable experience from arrival through to departure.

You will be a visible and supportive presence within the department, helping colleagues to perform at their best while ensuring hotel standards and procedures are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Reception team on a day-to-day basis.
• Lead by example, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Ensure smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Welcome guests and deal confidently and professionally with enquiries and requests.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and appropriately.
• Support the team with reservations, payments, room allocations and other reception duties.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and completion of relevant reception administration.
• Assist with training, coaching and developing reception team members.
• Ensure company policies, procedures and hotel standards are consistently followed.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Support the Duty Manager and wider management team when required.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception environment.
• Help identify opportunities to improve both guest satisfaction and departmental performance.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced within a hotel reception or front office environment , ideally with previous supervisory experience.
• Friendly, approachable and genuinely passionate about hospitality.
• Confident in leading and supporting a team.
• Professional and well-presented.
• Highly organised, reliable and able to prioritise effectively.
• Comfortable working in a busy hotel environment.
• Confident dealing with guests and resolving issues calmly and professionally.
• A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
• Positive, proactive and willing to get involved wherever needed.

Previous experience using a Opera would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
