Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Support Worker to provide essential support and care for children in various settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities, and supporting children's emotional and developmental needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working within a supportive team environment. This is a variable hours contract.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Assist with daily routines including feeding, dressing, and organising activities suitable for the child's age and needs
Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with families and professionals
Support children's emotional development through engaging activities and positive interaction
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies
Facilitate communication between children, families, and other professionals involved in the child's care
Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation at all times
Promote inclusive play and learning experiences that encourage socialisation and skill development

Skills

Experience working with children
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual children's needs
Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Knowledge of IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
Valid driving licence to facilitate transportation duties
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's growth and development
