Veterinary Nurse - Hospital Role

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking a dynamic role where no two days are the same?

An exciting position has opened up for a skilled RVN to join a bustling 24-hour veterinary hospital in North West London on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the perfect blend of variety and challenge, ensuring you stay engaged and motivated every day.

Working 40 hours per week across 5 days, this position requires flexibility and a willingness to cover a range of daytime shifts, including approximately 1 in 4 weekends and one Bank Holiday. This schedule allows you to balance your professional commitments with ample time to unwind and enjoy life outside the hospital.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with experienced veterinary surgeons and nursing teams
• Care for hospitalised patients and support surgical procedures
• Manage a diverse caseload, including emergency and critical care
• Adapt to various shift patterns and enjoy the dynamic nature of hospital nursing
• Work independently while knowing when to seek support from the team

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a busy clinical or hospital environment
• Confidence in assisting with surgery and anaesthesia
• Comfort in caring for hospitalised, emergency, and critical patients
• Ability to adapt to different shift patterns
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently

The hospital boasts advanced diagnostic support, including CT and ultrasound, and a robust medical team with experienced surgeons who perform advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures. This environment ensures that you will continually develop your skills and knowledge.
