Join us as a Literacy Intervention Support Worker : Empower Futures!
We are seeking an exceptional English Teacher who is passionate about unlocking potential through literacy, communication and meaningful relationships. Whilst English will be your primary teaching responsibility, you will also act as a Form Tutor and play a key role in supporting the personal development, wellbeing and wider educational journey of students.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people whilst working within a supportive, values-driven team committed to improving outcomes and creating brighter futures.
Do you want to work for a company where wellbeing is more than a word, it’s a commitment? Somewhere where you can be an architect of someone’s future?
Well at Progress Arc, that’s just what we offer.
Our top-notch benefits go beyond the basics. Enjoy access to hundreds of discounts on everything from your daily coffee to weekly shop, discounted gym memberships and free access to dedicated counselling support. We’ve also recently introduced wellbeing days for when you need a day to reset. And because we know your passion is with pupils and not paperwork, we do everything we can to reduce the amount of surplus admin too.
Your work-life balance matters. That’s why we offer generous holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity leave for new parents and carers, and flexibility wherever possible.
And why do we do this? Because when you thrive, so do our students. We want to invest in your personal and professional growth as much as we do the young people who attend our schools.
But that’s not all, we also offer…
You’ll be based at Progress Arc - Billinge School which has recently been taken over by The Progress Group. Formally known as Nugent House School, this is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a new chapter in the school’s journey.
Our school has a maximum student capacity of 110 and situated across 4 buildings set within beautiful grounds and vast outdoor spaces. It includes spaces for vocational and academic learning as well as therapeutic support. We have Occupational Therapists on site, as well as colleagues who are trained to provide alternative therapies. Our strong teaching and support team are passionate about empowering our young people to achieve their unique potential, and that’s just what you will help us to do. We aren’t looking for professionals to just teach, but who can help to architect, motivative, empower and inspire, because we want every one of our young people to have the opportunities that they deserve.
The Progress Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, sexual orientation, gender, pregnancy, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, medical history, skin colour, marital status, genetic information, or parental status. All employment decisions are based on merit, job requirements, and business needs.
We are committed to safeguarding and protecting all children and young people by implementing robust safer recruitment practices. For details of our commitment to safer recruitment please visit our website for further information.
