Early Years Educators work with and care for children from birth to 5 years. They play an important role in supporting children to have the best start to their education. As an Early Years specialist, you will personally help to close the attainment gap and increase the life chances of the children in your care.

About the Role

Location : Oaks Day Nursery , Swanley, The Willows, Hilda May Avenue, Swanley, BR8 7BT

Salary: £8.00 per hour, apprentice wage for the first 12 months, National Minimum Wage thereafter

Working Hours : Part-time, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm

Contract Type: Term-Time Only

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a supportive Early Years setting while working towards a nationally recognised childcare qualification.

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will:

Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Support children’s daily routines and wellbeing.
Work as part of a friendly and dedicated nursery team.
Assist with observations and learning activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will:

Support children’s learning, play and development through engaging activities.
Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.
Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Observe children’s progress and contribute to assessments.
Support children’s individual needs and encourage their development.
Maintain accurate records and attendance information.
Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality childcare.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
Complete apprenticeship coursework and attend training sessions.

Training Provided

You will work towards theLevel 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship delivered byBest Practice Network .

Your training will include:

Virtual classrooms and webinars.
Online learning and assignments.
Work-based learning and portfolio development.
One-to-one support from an apprenticeship tutor.
Regular reviews and progress meetings.

No college attendance is required, as all training is delivered through a blended learning approach.
