Technical Sales Advisor

Salary: Technical Sales Advisors - Water – Chesterfield (Other Locations Considered)

So, who are we? We are Fusion Utilities, part of the Wolseley Group - a leading specialist trade merchant across the UK and Ireland. We pride ourselves on putting our people and customers at the heart of everything we do and, best of all, provide opportunities to develop skills and build careers through our award-winning Wolseley Talent Guild. These newly created roles offer the opportunity to support AMP8 investment and play a key part in the continued growth of our Water sector business.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a key point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and building long‑term relationships.
• Providing technical advice and value‑engineered solutions to help customers identify the right products and solutions for their projects.
• Managing quotations, enquiries and sales orders, ensuring a high level of accuracy and customer care throughout.
• Supporting customers with complex requirements, using your technical knowledge and problem‑solving skills to deliver the best outcomes.
• Developing relationships with Tier 1 contractors, framework customers and key stakeholders within the Water sector.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to drive sales growth, improve processes and achieve shared objectives.

These are full‑time, permanent roles working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is ideally based in Chesterfield; however, alternative locations may be considered for the right candidate. You could work from one of our branches, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Requirements

• Experience within a technical sales, internal sales or customer‑facing commercial role.
• Experience within the Water or Utilities sector is highly desirable.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and framework agreements would be advantageous.
• The ability to provide technical advice and solution‑based sales support, rather than simply processing quotes and orders.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• A proactive approach, with excellent problem‑solving abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

We look forward to receiving your application!
