Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90–£120 per day

As an HLTA, you will support teaching and learning across the school, delivering pre-planned lessons and working closely with teaching staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
• Provide small group and 1:1 support
• Cover classes in the absence of teachers
• Support lesson planning and delivery
• Assist with assessment and progress tracking
• Maintain classroom structure and behaviour

• Structured and consistent
• Clear expectations for pupils
• Behaviour is well managed
• Learning continues smoothly

Skills and experience

• HLTA status or Level 3 equivalent
• Strong classroom experience
