At this time the base caters for students identified by theschool as either needing intensive support to enable them to access mainstreamlearning environments or to access more bespoke qualifications suited to theirlearning needs.

In addition to thecognition and learning base we also have a dedicated Internal AlternativeProvision facility, which supports students with SEMH and other SENDneeds. Twinned with this provision webelieve we have "wrap-around" support for our students, to ensure that gaps inlearning, numeracy and literacy are addressed as soon as possible, upon arrivalto the Academy, so that we can look to support the transition from primary tosecondary school, and to provide appropriate qualifications to progress to post16 studies.
