Partnerships & Outreach

We are looking for someone to open doors for the products we build. The first of those is Chalk, our climbing app: climbers use it to log sessions across bouldering, top-rope and lead, track progress, discover gyms and outdoor crags, and connect with friends.

For gyms, it offers tools to manage routes and walls, run challenges and events, broadcast announcements, and see analytics on what members are actually climbing. The first gym partner, Substation in Brixton, is live and building their presence on the app.

Getting more gyms onboard is where you start, and you own that end to end. Because the app is ours rather than a client’s, what you hear in those conversations goes to the people building it.

You get in at the point where a product is finding its feet, which is the part most people never see. The partners you bring on now become the ones it was built around.

What you do

• Identify and reach out to the venues and organisations who would benefit from what we build, starting with climbing gyms across the UK
• Build rapport with owners, managers and the people on the floor. This is relationship work, not cold sales
• Run short product demos walking partners through the features that matter to them
• Support new partners through onboarding and their first weeks on the platform
• Feed learnings back to the team building it: what partners ask for, where they get stuck, what they love

About you

• You are comfortable starting conversations with strangers, whether over email, phone, or in person
• You are genuinely interested in the people you are talking to. It shows in the conversations you have
• You are organised enough to keep track of a pipeline without being told
• You are a clear, friendly communicator who can explain a product without jargon
• You are self-directed and happy working remotely with light supervision

Nice to have

• Existing relationships in the climbing or fitness industry
• Experience in partnerships, business development, or community management
• A climber yourself, or a regular at a local gym
