Location: Northampton, on site, working 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday, with rotational weekend cover
Reporting to our Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the development, motivation and performance of our Inbound Team, overseeing our Goods In department. You'll fully understand and deliver the operations plan, deploying your team across Goods, Problem Solving and Putaway, and making sure every client, operational and people KPI and SLA is met or exceeded. You'll champion a strong culture of safety, maintaining high standards across your area and the wider operation.
You'll be data driven in everything you do, knowing your metrics on an hourly basis and reporting on them at the end of each shift. You'll use them to keep your team informed about performance. You'll calculate hours for the department, plan and adjust resourcing levels to meet operational demands, and manage our time and attendance system and weekly personnel updates. You'll set clear team and individual goals, spot performance gaps early and provide the training and upskilling needed to close them.
You'll motivate, engage and challenge your team to go the extra mile, recognising great performance and keeping everyone involved through regular communication briefings. You'll handle the people side of leadership fairly and in line with company policy, including return to work interviews, absence management, and disciplinary and grievance meetings. Working closely with our Client Services team and other FC departments, you'll resolve client issues quickly, and you'll give every shift a quality handover so they start strong!
You'll always be looking for new ways to improve efficiency and the client experience, working with your team to find smarter ways to manage workloads and improve our systems. Our fulfilment centre is our showroom to our new clients, and your team will be proud to keep their area in showroom condition.
At J&J Global Fulfilment we help hundreds of eCommerce brands grow and scale globally. Our team is fast, supportive, and proud of the work we do.
