Maintenance Operatives (Highways)

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 7.30 a.m. - 4.00 p.m., 40 hours per week

Days: Monday - Friday, with weekends and evenings on an on-call rota basis

Duration: Temporary, immediate start, ongoing

Duties

• Working within a small team, attending reactive maintenance requests including;
• filling of potholes, basic tarmacking,
• repairing, replacing and repainting street furniture,
• general labouring and manual handling.
• Adherence to quality and health and safety standards.

Experience

• Must have previous construction experience and be physically fit due to the nature of duties.
• Highways experience is an advantage.
• Must have a full driver license and an awareness of health and safety.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team, to instruction.

Salary: £12.71 per hour worked, overtime paid at time and a half or time and a third depending on rota
