Your responsibilities as Freight Account Manager

  • Develop opportunities across air, sea, road and courier freight services
  • Prepare accurate, competitive quotations while protecting commercial margins
  • Negotiate with customers and suppliers to secure profitable cargo movements
  • Consistently grow gross profit, sales productivity and revenue against agreed targets
  • Manage customer requirements from initial enquiry through to the successful movement of cargo

What we're looking for in a Freight Account Manager

  • Proven freight industry knowledge and experience - this is essential
  • A successful track record within proactive B2B sales and new business development
  • Experience selling freight services across air, sea, road and/or courier markets
  • Evidence of working successfully against sales, revenue or gross profit targets
  • Strong commercial skills covering quotations, negotiation and customer account development

The expectation is to build towards a minimum of £10,000 monthly profit within the first 6-9 months, increasing towards £15,000 per month as your portfolio develops. The commission structure continues incrementally beyond the examples above, giving you the opportunity to increase your earnings as you grow your customer base.
