Qualified Nursery Educator

Where every child is precious

At Sapphires Nursery School, we believe that every child is unique, deeply valued and full of potential.

We are looking for a warm, dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Educator to join our special nursery community and help every child feel safe, secure, confident and able to flourish.

SNS is a family run, Froebel inspired nursery with a Christian foundation. Our approach is rooted in loving relationships, meaningful experiences, a deep connection with nature and the belief that childhood is precious.

Our children's learning extends far beyond the nursery walls. Their days may include adventures in local parks, Nature School, Gardening Club, library trips by bus and visits to our much loved local grocer, charity shops and Hampton Court Palace. We also welcome the wider world into SNS through special visitors, celebrations and experiences.

Your role at SNS

As a Nursery Educator, you will help create a safe, warm and inspiring environment where children feel known, understood and encouraged to shine.

You will:

• Build secure and trusting relationships with children, helping them develop confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging
• Provide rich, meaningful learning experiences that reflect children's interests, individual needs and natural curiosity
• Support children to explore, investigate, create and learn through play
• Take responsibility for a group of key children, ensuring that their care, wellbeing and learning needs are consistently met
• Place children's safety and welfare at the heart of everything you do
• Follow SNS safeguarding policies and procedures, remaining alert to concerns and reporting them promptly
• Develop warm and respectful partnerships with parents and families
• Observe and celebrate each child's learning, development and individual achievements
• Work closely and generously with your room team
• Contribute to parents' evenings, open days, training and team meetings
• Help children learn to SHINE by sharing, helping, including others and never, ever giving up

Who we are looking for

We would love to meet someone who:

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Has a genuine love for working with young children
• Understands that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility
• Understands that strong, secure relationships provide the foundation for learning
• Recognises and values each child as an individual
• Is kind, dependable and committed to being part of a strong team
• Brings warmth, energy and a positive, can do attitude
• Enjoys spending time outdoors and helping children connect with nature
• Communicates thoughtfully and professionally with children, families and colleagues
• Shares our commitment to helping every child flourish

How we nurture our team

At SNS, we want our staff to feel valued, supported and able to flourish too. Benefits include:

• Increased holiday entitlement with length of service
• A paid wellbeing day
• Your birthday off
• A referral bonus of up to £1,000
• Access to the My Staff Shop discounts and benefits platform after successfully completing probation
• Appreciation awards that recognise exceptional contributions
• Training and development opportunities, including funded professional qualifications
• Dedicated paid training time, including five INSET days each year
• Workplace pension scheme
• Company events, including our Christmas party, team building activities, sports day and visits from farm animals
• Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme

If you are a caring and committed early years professional who wants to make a meaningful difference within a nursery where every child is precious, we would be delighted to hear from you.

SNS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
