Early Years Practitioner

We’re looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team in Plymouth. If you’re passionate about supporting babies, toddlers and pre‑schoolers as they make their first discoveries, this could be the perfect role for you.

Our Plymouth nursery offers five spacious, well‑resourced rooms designed to meet the needs of each age group. Children also enjoy direct access to a fantastic outdoor space, where they can race around on the grass, climb on the equipment or enjoy all‑weather play in our covered area. It’s a vibrant, nurturing environment where curiosity and exploration are encouraged every day.

What we’re looking for:

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Strong understanding of the EYFS
• A warm, positive and child‑centred approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development

We believe great people deserve great perks. When you join us, you’ll enjoy:

• Your birthday off
• Free uniform
• Complimentary meals when dining with the children
• Christmas closure – you’ll never work between Christmas and New Year
• All bank holidays off
• 28 days annual leave
• Clear progression routes , with internal promotion wherever possible
• Extensive training and CPD , helping you grow your career
• Time back for meetings, training or events held outside nursery hours

We offer a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, alongside a supportive, friendly team environment.

As this role involves working closely with children, an enhanced DBS check is required. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer.
