This role particularly suits Psychology graduates, aspiring teachers, people with experience working with young people, or anyone looking to start their career in SEN and Autism support.

Job Responsibilities as an ASD Assistant

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of additional needs.
• Support students with their communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning throughout the school day.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to implement individualised support plans and strategies.
• Help students develop their confidence, independence, social skills, and ability to engage positively in the classroom and wider school environment.

What we're looking for in an ASD Assistant

• Compassionate and empathetic - able to understand and respond sensitively to the individual needs of students with Autism.
• Patient and supportive - able to provide consistent reassurance, encouragement, and structure.
• Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals.
• Emotionally resilient - able to remain calm and professional when supporting students experiencing distress, sensory overload, or challenging situations.

• Pay: 93- 110 per day
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Contract: Full-time

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
