Support Specialist Learning in Christleton & Waverton

Are you an empathetic support specialist with access to reliable transport to reach semi‑rural school settings? Academics is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join a supportive primary school community located in rural Chester/Cheshire.

"Tailored special educational needs support removes everyday learning barriers - creating an environment where every child can flourish."

This rewarding position involves providing 1:1 and small-group assistance to pupils with Autism (ASC), speech and language needs, and sensory processing differences. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant hands‑on experience. Paying £95 - £105 per day, this role is ideal for anyone looking to build a career in education and training. Joining Academics gives you direct access to welcoming local schools in Christleton and beyond, consistent daily rates, and professional backing throughout your placement.

Core Responsibilities

• Tailored Learning Support: Adapt daily tasks using visual timetables and sensory resources to suit individual needs in Christleton and the wider areas.
• Inclusion & Guidance: Assist pupils during structured classroom activities and outdoor play to encourage social interaction.
• Progress Tracking: Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to monitor milestones gained through structured education and training.
• Nurturing Environment: Build warm, positive relationships that promote pupil confidence across school settings in Christleton and the wider area.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience as an SEN TA or a strong background in care, support, or youth work settings.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification is preferred, alongside a proactive approach to ongoing education and training.
• Ability to commute to Christleton, Waverton or neighbouring via public or personal transport.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one via Academics).

If you are a compassionate SEN TA ready to make a genuine difference in the Christleton area, we want to hear from you.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
