Justteachers is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in a primary school in Huddersfield. Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Support pupils to access learning and engage positively in classroom activities.
Implement individual learning, behaviour and support plans.
Support pupils’ social, emotional and communication development.
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals where required.
Help maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Pre-requisites:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting.
Knowledge of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) is desirable.
A patient, caring and proactive approach.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice.
Ability to provide two education-based references.
