Account Manager (IT / Tech Solutions Sales)
Portsmouth
Work setting In person / office based - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
Join one of the UK's Best Workplaces in Tech 2026 and take your B2B sales career to the next level! We're looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join our growing Systems Sales team.
Account management at Novatech is about far more than high-pressure sales. You'll be supported with leads, realistic targets and an experienced team. You'll focus on building long-term customer relationships, developing new business opportunities and driving account growth through consulting customers on our industry-leading IT infrastructure solutions and services.
Base salary and targets are negotiable, depending on experience. We reward success and overachievement, meaning your earning potential is in your hands. With an uncapped commission scheme, there's no limit to what you can achieve.
As a guide, starting salaries for mid-level account managers can range from £30,000 to £37,500 per annum with a minimum OTE of £50,000 - £62,000 per annum. However, for experienced sales professionals, both base salary and earning potential can be significantly higher.
Working alongside customers, vendors, technical specialists and our wider internal team, you'll help organisations solve business challenges through technology solutions while identifying further opportunities for ongoing account growth. Your responsibilities will include:
We're looking for an experienced sales professional with a successful track record in B2B account management, sales or business development. You'll be confident managing the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to closing deals and growing customer accounts, and have a proven history of achieving sales targets.
You'll be a strong communicator with a consultative approach, able to build trusted relationships, understand customer challenges and recommend value-driven solutions. Commercially aware, organised and self-motivated, you'll be comfortable managing multiple opportunities and priorities within a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate CRM, pipeline and forecasting information.
Experience selling IT infrastructure solutions would be advantageous, as would knowledge of vendors such as Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Microsoft or Nvidia. Most importantly, you'll bring energy, accountability and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer outcomes and contributing to business growth.
Our Systems Sales team is packed with expertise, industry knowledge and strong customer relationships.
Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, which is why our Account Managers are supported by a dedicated sales support specialist and technical experts who help create solutions that deliver real value and exceed customer expectations.
They're a team that's passionate about success, focussed on growth and committed to building long-term customer partnerships. As we continue to grow as a business, we're excited to welcome ambitious new people into this team, who want to be part of that journey.
There are heaps of other perks when working for us! For starters, we're an accredited 'Great Place to Work', and one of their listed 'Best Workplaces in Tech 2026' (SME), as voted by our amazing staff via the 'Great Place to Work' engagement survey. We embrace a non-corporate vibe and believe that when you can be your authentic self, that you enjoy your work more and take greater pride in what you do.
We respect the skills and experiences everyone brings to the business - and we'll support you with delivering the ideas and strategies you bring to the table to support our growth journey.
We're all about your wellbeing and regularly organise team events, employee awards, and charity dos. We also care about the environment and have won awards for our efforts, which include being a net positive business (meaning we put more energy back into the grid than we use – which we are super proud of!).
Work life balance is important to us. As part of our hybrid working arrangements, you'll initially be working in the office every day for at least the first month to complete your induction training, after this, you'll be working in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week. We are really lucky as we have good transport links to the office for when you come in, alongside free staff parking and a lockable bike shed for if you drive or ride.
Novatech work heavily in the B2B tech sector with some of the largest and most respected names in a range of industries. Whether it's supporting businesses with their remote workforce under our Direct2Desk ground-breaking service, transforming defence companies with life‑saving training simulators or implementing practical IT systems for businesses to thrive, there's no end to the amount of fascinating and cutting‑edge projects that we are involved in (some of which we can't tell you about, yet).
