KRG are exclusively partnering with one of our long-term clients, a fast-growing creative agency to appoint a Sports Social Media Manager into their team.
If sport is genuinely your world, you know your football, follow the wider sports landscape and spend far too much time thinking about what would make a great piece of social content - this could be a very exciting opportunity.
The agency works across social, content, talent and entertainment , and is now growing its work within the sports space. They're looking for someone who can take ownership of social media for a range of sports-focused clients, bringing both strategic thinking and a strong understanding of what makes content work in culture.
The opportunity
- Take the lead on social media for a portfolio of sports clients, working across different areas of the industry, including football.
- Develop and deliver social strategies, content plans and channel approaches that genuinely engage sports audiences.
- Be plugged into the sporting calendar, cultural moments and online conversations, knowing when and how brands should show up.
- Work across always-on social, reactive content, campaigns and major sporting moments.
- Collaborate closely with the founders and the inhouse editing/creative team to turn ideas into standout social.
- Work alongside content creators and talent, helping to shape social content and that feels authentic to the audience.
- Opportunity to work across different sports rather than being tied to one team, league or discipline.
- Bring ideas to the table, this is a role for someone who is naturally curious about social, culture and sport and is constantly thinking about what could work next.
- Use platform insights and performance data to understand what is working and continually evolve the approach.
- Become a genuine social specialist within a growing sports-focused client offering.
We're looking for someone who...
- Has solid experience working in social media within an agency setting - ideally with sports experience too.
- Is genuinely passionate about sport, particularly football, but ideally has an interest in the wider sporting landscape too.
- Understands social beyond simply posting content, you know how to build communities, create conversation and make brands relevant.
- Has a strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and the wider social landscape, with an instinct for platform-native content.
- Is comfortable working at pace and reacting to moments as they happen.
- Enjoys working with creators, influencers and talent and understands how they can be used effectively within social campaigns.
- Is confident presenting ideas, talking to clients and taking ownership of social accounts.
- Most importantly, you're someone who lives and breathes sport and social and wants a role where the two genuinely come together.
