Bid Executive

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting tender submissions across large-scale infrastructure programmes, including renewable energy, electricity transmission and distribution, EV charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and utilities projects. Working closely with operational, engineering, commercial, HSEQ, and business development teams, you will help deliver compelling, compliant, and customer-focused proposals that contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate, and submit bids, tenders, PQQs, EOIs, and framework applications.
• Support the development of high-quality written responses and proposal documentation.
• Review tender requirements and ensure submissions meet client evaluation criteria.
• Collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders to gather tender information.
• Proofread and edit submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Maintain and develop bid libraries, project case studies, CV databases, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate bid review meetings and manage contributor actions to achieve submission deadlines.
• Support clarification responses, presentations, and post-tender reviews.
• Monitor tender outcomes and client feedback, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with framework call-offs and procurement portal administration.

Experience Required

Essential

• Previous experience supporting bids, tenders, or proposal submissions.
• Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and document management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience within engineering, infrastructure, energy, construction, or utilities sectors.

Desirable

• Familiarity with procurement platforms such as Achilles, Ariba, Jaggaer, CTM, Bravo, or In-Tend.
• Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Understanding of public and private sector procurement processes.
