Position: Junior Sous Chef - 9 Month Mat Leave Cover

Enjoy a great work-life balance with a rota of 4 days on, 3 days off , working 10-hour shifts . This role includes alternate weekends , with no late evenings and no split shifts .

Salary: £14.50ph

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef to deliver outstanding dining experiences, using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create nutritious and delicious meals. The Ideal Junior Sous Chef:

• Passionate about food and providing exceptional dining experiences.
• Holds, or is working towards, a City & Guilds, NVQ, SVQ or equivalent culinary qualification.
• Has experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
• Understands the importance of nutrition and catering for a variety of dietary requirements.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of food hygiene, HACCP principles, and health & safety standards.
• Enjoys engaging with residents and colleagues to create a positive dining experience.
• Eager to learn, develop new skills, and progress within a professional hospitality team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and presenting delicious, nutritious meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Assisting with menu planning, stock control, ordering, and food cost management.
• Helping maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Building positive relationships with residents and creating enjoyable dining experiences.
• Supporting residents' individual dietary and nutritional needs.
• Working as part of a passionate hospitality team to deliver exceptional service.
