Head of Geography (Maternity Cover)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership forthe Geography department, setting high expectations for teaching,learning, achievement and behaviour in line with the Academy's vision andpriorities.
• Lead the planning, implementationand evaluation of an ambitious and knowledge-rich Geography curriculum,ensuring it meets the needs of all students and secures strong progressand outcomes.
• Ensurestudents have high levels of achievement through high standards andintervention when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with middleand senior leaders across the Academy to contribute to whole-schoolimprovement priorities and strategic development.
• Promote Geography across theAcademy, fostering a culture of curiosity, participation and academicexcellence within the subject.
