Key Responsibilities

• Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
• Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures).
• Support governance activity, ensuring full compliance with Nuffield Health’s Quality governance framework and national standards, e.g. CQC/HIW/HIS Regulation, fundamentals of care, professional standards and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Provide and lead care management and delivery, treating patients, families, friends and representatives with kindness, dignity, respect and compassion and support them to cope emotionally with their care, treatment or condition.
• Collaborate with other clinicians within the Hospital, building strong working relationships that enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Take charge of a theatre, co‑ordinating and delivering work activities and leading junior practitioners.

Qualifications & Experience

• Registered with the appropriate governing body and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including HCPC registration.
• Post‑registration experience.
• Passion for high standards in perioperative care, a meticulous eye for detail and ability to maintain high standards of perioperative care.
• Focused, flexible and motivated team worker.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments. Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
