Head of Social Research – Applicant-Led Innovation (Hybrid)

Economic and Social Research Council seeks Heads of Social Research to lead ESRC’s applicant-led mode strategy, reporting to the Associate Director of Advancing Knowledge in Social Science. You will co‑lead the development and oversight of an outstanding portfolio, build strong links with academia across politics, criminology, geography, psychology and sociology, and drive a robust pipeline of proposals.

This role supports hybrid working in Swindon, with on-site time 40–60% from October 2026,
