Hours of work: 38 hours per week (07:00 till 16:15 Monday-Thursday, 07:00 till 13:00 Friday)

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Production Operative to join our Meat Department. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for handling and preparing various meat products including bacon, gammon, and primals.

Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing

Working in a temperature-controlled environment, you’ll learn to operate a range of specialist equipment such as flow wrappers, primal presses, ovens, and slicers to ensure products are prepared safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Handling and preparing various meats including bacon, gammon, and primals
• Learning and operating machinery such as the flow wrapper, primal press, oven, and slicer
• Working within a temperature-controlled environment
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets

A Few Things About You

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous experience in food production or a similar environment would be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided
