School Caretaker — Finchley

Contract: Full-time, Temporary (short-term cover)
Hours: Monday–Friday- one of the following shifts: 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm
Start: ASAP

Role:
A busy school in Finchley is looking for a reliable, hands‑on School Caretaker to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment.

Duties include:

• Moving furniture and portering.
• Preparing classrooms.
• Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
• Keeping buildings and grounds safe and presentable.
• Setting up rooms for school events.
• Responding to maintenance issues.
• Supporting the existing caretaking team.

Requirements:

• Previous caretaker, maintenance, facilities or site-management experience.
• Good practical/DIY skills.
• Understanding of health & safety.
• Able to work independently.
• Reliable, organised and proactive.
• Good communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Available to start immediately.
