Medical Receptionist / Administrator

Abbeyview Surgery is a GP Surgery in rural Lincolnshire serving circa 9300 patients. We have a diverse, friendly team that work hard to provide the best quality care to our Practice population. Providing front of house support to patients and various administrative support to our team of clinicians, as needed from time to time. this will include some administrative duties outside of reception duties. Experience within a reception/administrative position is essential.

Job summary Medical Receptionist Duties:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
• Check-in patients
• Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
• Handle incoming and outgoing emails
• Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers and scanners
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
