We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller / Manual Machinist to join an established engineering and automation business based in Peterborough.
This is a varied role suited to a skilled machinist with strong experience across both CNC and conventional machining , producing components for specialist automation and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC milling machinery
Manual milling and machining using Colchester and similar machinery
Working from detailed engineering drawings
Producing one-off and small-batch components
Selecting tooling and setting feeds and speeds
Working to tight tolerances
Inspecting finished components
Troubleshooting machining issues and making adjustments
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Strong CNC milling experience
Proven manual machining experience
Experience with Colchester or similar machinery
Ability to read engineering drawings
Good knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds and tolerances
A strong mechanical and practical engineering background
Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work
