Press Operative – Engineering

Location: Sandbach, Staffordshire
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Operative to join an established engineering company based in Sandbach, Staffordshire .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 1 year’s experience working as a Press Operative within an engineering or manufacturing environment , looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.

The Role

As a Press Operative, you will be responsible for operating press machinery safely and efficiently, producing components to the required quality and specification.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating press machinery within an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Setting and operating machinery as required
• Loading and unloading materials and components
• Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
• Following engineering drawings and specifications
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Following all company health and safety procedures
• Meeting production targets and quality standards

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Press Operative
• Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience operating press machinery
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Ability to follow engineering drawings and instructions
• Reliable and hardworking approach
• Good attendance and timekeeping
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
