Help Young People Find Something They're Good At

For some young people, confidence comes from being able to do something practical, creative and achievable .

We're looking for a Hair & Beauty professional to bring their skills into a PRU setting in Morpeth and help pupils engage with learning in a different way.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll use your Hair & Beauty knowledge to create practical sessions that could include:

• Hair styling and hair care
• Beauty and skincare
• Basic makeup
• Personal presentation
• Creative activities
• Salon-style projects
• Vocational skills
• Confidence-building activities

The role is about more than teaching a practical skill. You’ll help pupils develop positive relationships with adults, communicate effectively, work towards achievable goals and experience success.

You currently work or have worked as a:

• Hairdresser
• Barber
• Beauty Therapist
• Hair & Beauty Therapist
• Salon Professional
• Vocational Tutor
• Hair & Beauty Lecturer

You don't need to have spent your career in education. We’re looking for someone who can connect with young people, remain patient and consistent, and create an environment where pupils feel comfortable getting involved .
