Join our dedicated team at FAASS, a unique residential family assessment and support centre providing 12-week placements for parents and their babies where parenting support needs have been identified by Social Services.
We work with families facing complex challenges, helping parents build the skills, confidence, and stability needed to provide safe, nurturing care for their children. Many of the babies supported by our service may be vulnerable to trauma, neglect, or abuse, while parents may be experiencing difficulties linked to learning needs, previous substance misuse, domestic instability, or other life challenges.
At FAASS, we believe positive change is possible with the right support.
As a Family Support Worker - Waking Nights, you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for families during overnight hours.
You will work closely with parents, offering guidance, reassurance, and practical support while observing family interactions and recording progress as part of our specialist assessment service. Our work is delivered in partnership with Social Services and the Family Court, making accurate observations and strong communication essential.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable families while being part of a highly supportive and experienced team.
We are proud of our strong team culture, supportive environment, and excellent staff retention. Many of our team members stay with us long-term because we value collaboration, professional development, and wellbeing.
Our child-focused approach and commitment to continuous learning have helped us build a reputation for delivering an outstanding service.
To join our valued team, you will ideally have:
Please note: FAASS is based in a rural location with limited public transport access, therefore driving is essential. Access to a company vehicle is available during working hours.
FAASS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all employees to share this commitment.
We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, reflecting the diverse communities we serve. We value fairness, dignity, and inclusion in everything we do.
