Role: Paediatric Care Assistant

Location: Wirral

Hours: Part time. Week 1: 27 hours (2 night shifts, 3 evening shifts), week 2: 15 hours (1 night shift, 1 evening shift)

Payrate: £13.50 per hour

You’ll care fora child basedinThe Wirral,workingpart time shifts, a mix of 5pm – 8pm and 8pm – 8am, from 15 – 27 hours per week to provide safe and consistent care in their own home.

They live with global developmental delay, epilepsy, a tracheostomy and quadriplegia and require support withpersonal care, mobility, medication, companionship and daily living tasks.

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs.

This isNOTstandard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home.Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions
• Managing tracheostomies, ventilation and specialist equipment
• Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration
• Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately

What We’re Looking For

This is more than a job. You’ll be trusted with someone’s safety and wellbeing while delivering care that requires skill, focus and sound judgement. It takes a certain kind of person: someone compassionate, dependable and highly attentive who can remain calm and act correctly under pressure.We also require the following:

• Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
• The ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
• A genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care
