Vets Now is the European leader in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), recognised for its national emergency service provision, fast-track training programmes (Edge), and European Board of Veterinary Specialisation Residency in Glasgow.
At our Manchester referral hospital, we are proud to offer a well-established ECC Internship programme. Interns join a multi-disciplinary hospital environment, supported by residency-trained and board-certified ECC clinicians, and gain hands-on experience in a well-equipped ICU.
This 12-month internship is designed for veterinarians seeking to strengthen their skills in emergency and critical care, whether as preparation for residency applications or to deepen clinical confidence in ECC practice. We would be looking for the successful intern to join the team on Monday 5th April 2027.
The role is primarily based in the ICU, managing emergency referrals, with a rolling rota and no on-call duties. Interns will engage in clinical work, structured training, and collaborative case discussions with a strong focus on patient care and professional development.
Dedicated clinical mentor to support your training, research, and professional growth.
We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace. We encourage applications from veterinarians of all backgrounds and will consider reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
Begin your ECC journey with Vets Now Manchester and gain unparalleled experience in a supportive, specialist-led environment.
