About the opportunity

Talented People Recruitment are recruiting for an established automotive business seeking an experienced Fleet Business Development Manager to join their commercial sales team.

This is a field-based role focused on winning new business, developing existing accounts and building long‑term relationships with businesses across the Manchester area.

The Role

You will take ownership of your territory, identifying new customers and developing fleet and commercial vehicle opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Generating new B2B and fleet business
• Managing and developing existing customer accounts
• Building relationships with business owners and fleet decision‑makers
• Arranging and attending customer meetings
• Understanding customer requirements and presenting suitable fleet solutions
• Managing sales opportunities from enquiry through to completion
• Identifying additional opportunities within existing accounts
• Maintaining an accurate CRM and sales pipeline
• Working towards agreed sales and revenue targets
• Working closely with internal sales, fleet and aftersales teams

About You

We are looking for a proven B2B sales or business development professional , ideally from an automotive, fleet, leasing or commercial vehicle background.

You will have:

• A track record of winning new business
• Strong account management and relationship‑building skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• A confident and commercially focused approach
• The ability to manage your own territory and sales pipeline
• A full UK driving licence

Automotive experience is advantageous, but strong B2B sales professionals with a proven record of winning new business
