The Firm

An independent, growing professional services firm based in Central London have a job vacancy for a management accountant to join their finance team. This firm offer a wide range of professional services to OMBs, SMES, charities and large international groups.

The Team

The Finance team plays a crucial role in the firm, overseeing all financial matters, supporting the business on a day-to-day basis. The team provide timely and accurate financial statistics, reports, and accounts.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the Finance team by delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information to assist decision-making across the business. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be: Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting activities, balance sheet reconciliations and performance reporting You will work closely with budget holders and stakeholders across the firm, providing financial support and insight Work to the continuous improvement of financial processes, with a particular emphasis on AI, systems and controls, ensuring the Finance function delivers a high-quality service while maintaining strong governance and financial integrity. Work with the FC to prepare the firm and it's group companies financial statements and prepare for it's year end audit Other ad-hoc work and projects that are crucial to the smooth running of a successful professional services firm

What We're Looking For

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple deadlines.

This is a crucial role within the finance team as it sits across all areas and works closely with the financial controller. This is a great role for someone who is already working in this type of environment or a newly qualified accountant from audit who is looking for their first role in finance.
