Management Accountant

London / Hybrid Minimum 2 days in the office Reporting to: Group Financial Controller

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Cost Management Accountant to join a growing Finance team.

This is a hands-on role with genuine ownership across cost accounting, month-end, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting . You'll work closely with department heads, helping them understand their numbers, identify cost drivers and make informed decisions.

What you'll be doing

Own cost-related month-end , including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and journals.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
Deliver cost, spend and variance analysis with clear commentary.
Prepare cashflow forecasts , budgets and management reporting.
Business partner with department heads to understand spend and cost drivers.
Support VAT, audit, AP and intercompany processes .
Identify opportunities to improve controls, processes and reporting .
Own the company card expenditure process through Spendesk .

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

Ambitious, curious and commercially minded.
A confident communicator who enjoys working with non-finance teams.
Comfortable taking ownership and working in a fast-paced SME environment .
Strong technically, with experience across month-end, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments .
Analytical, highly organised and detail-focused.
Advanced in Excel and experienced with ERP systems; Xero is desirable.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified/qualified , or equivalent experience.
