Location: Merthyr Job Type: 20 hours, working across 7 days based on availability

Responsible to

Retail Store Manager

Role Summary

• To work flexibly, undertaking retail and other activities to maximise sales, business efficiency and customer satisfaction

Key Relationships

• Retail store management and colleagues

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities

• Greeting customers who enter the store
• Helping customers find the goods and products they are looking for
• Pricing goods, stocking shelves and displaying merchandise
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all fixtures, equipment and fabric of the shop premises
• Responsible for taking cash, card and finance payment
• Advising on stock counts
• Promoting special offers in-store
• Handling complaints or passing them to a manager
• Assisting the company and colleagues by carrying out such duties away from usual areas of work as may reasonably be required
• Prepared to carry out arduous work, either physical or mental
• Willing to take on reasonable additional responsibility as necessary

Experience

• Previous retail experience preferable but not essential.

• Good written and verbal communication skills
