Legal Assistant

Legal Assistant/Administrator - Commercial Property - Leicester - Full or Part time applications welcome.

A law firm based in Leicester are looking for a legal assistant to join their commercial property team.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a property law department previously (either commercial or residential). You will be highly organised, personable and friendly in order to fit into the team and provide a high level of admin support to lawyers in the team.

Duties may include things such as:-

• Opening and closing/archiving of files
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing post and scanning documents into the case management system.
• Photocopying, printing and filing of relevant documents as directed by fee earners,
• Answering calls into the team and updating when appropriate, transferring calls or taking messages and passing onto relevant lawyers/teams.
• Looking after and preparing meeting rooms to ensure all set up for meeting requirements and are well presented at all times.
• Assisting with Document production relevant to commercial property transactions.
• Covering main reception at times.
• Greeting visitors coming into the office.
• Other admin type duties, as directed by fee earners in the team.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate the following:-

• Experience of working in a support role within the area of commercial or residential property
• Be well organised with an ability to prioritise tasks
• Be friendly and personable and a confident communicator
• Have strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft office programs such as word and excel.
