Receptionist / Administrator

• Location: Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne
• Salary: 26,436 per annum
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
• Start Date: Immediate
• Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm OR 8:30am-5pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (fully office based)

The Opportunity

Our client, a successful and well-established business within the manufacturing sector, is looking to recruit a professional and proactive Receptionist / Administrator to join their friendly team based in Newburn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for visitors and customers while providing essential administrative support across the business. The role also offers exposure to purchasing duties, with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Answering and directing incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
• Welcoming visitors to site and ensuring a positive first impression
• Offering refreshments and providing support for meetings and visitors
• Managing stationery orders and maintaining office supplies
• Providing general administrative support to various departments
• Assisting with purchasing duties and supplier orders (full training provided)
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administration tasks as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Professional, approachable and personable
• Proactive with a positive attitude
• Comfortable taking initiative and working independently
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Able to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business
• Competent using Microsoft Office and general office systems
• Experience using Sage would be highly beneficial, although not essential
