Live in/Live out Nanny, Kensington

Welcoming family based in Kensington are seeking an experienced, professional and nurturing live in or live out Nanny to care for their 13 week old…
Position: Daily Nanny, potential live-in option from January
Location: Wandsworth, London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 am - 9 am and 1 pm - 7:30 pm
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 gross per year
Start Date: ASAP
A family based in Wandsworth are looking for an experienced, professional nanny to join their household and become a trusted extra pair of hands. The family have three children: nine year old twins, currently in Year 5, and a four year old in Reception. The children attend school in Clapham.
The family have had the same nanny for seven years and are now looking for someone who can build a similarly strong, long-term relationship with the children.
This is a shared-care role, with Mum primarily focusing on the twins, their school commitments and clubs, while the nanny will mainly take responsibility for the youngest and provide support across all three children when needed. The role will involve school runs, after-school activities and helping with the logistics of a busy family life. It would suit someone who enjoys being part of a household, is happy to get stuck in and takes pride in making everyday life run smoothly.
The children are generally dropped at school between 8:10am and 8:25am, although the twins have earlier starts on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:45am. The youngest finishes at 3:30pm and has swimming on Wednesdays, which the nanny will be responsible for taking him to. The twins have a number of after-school clubs throughout the week, and the nanny will help with the various drop-offs and pick-ups. The afternoon schedule is varied with the nanny to help manage these arrangements and support Mum with the logistics of three children with different commitments.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, robust and confident caring for a four year old, while also being comfortable managing the dynamics of three children together. Someone who is calm, adaptable and able to respond to last minute changes without becoming flustered would be a great fit. The family particularly value a nanny who understands boundaries, can get down to a child's level, bring humour into challenging moments and help diffuse situations in a warm but confident way.
Norland nannies have worked particularly well for the family in the past, although they are open to other highly experienced candidates. They are looking for someone dynamic, emotionally intelligent and able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy household.
The family are currently navigating a period of transition, and the role will involve working between Mum's and Dad's homes. Dad will be based locally, with the children spending Thursdays and every other Friday with him. The successful nanny will need to be comfortable working across both households and supporting the children as they settle into this arrangement. The family are looking for someone who can bring consistency, warmth and a sense of calm, particularly as the youngest has recently started school.
The nanny will also be expected to muck in with the general running of the household when needed. This will include preparing simple meals for the children, helping with dinner and school clothes, keeping on top of their belongings and occasionally helping with the family's show cocker spaniel when necessary.
The children eat simple, familiar food, so cooking is relaxed and straightforward. The family would also love someone who is happy to travel with them, including approximately three to four weeks of skiing each year and four to six weeks of summer travel.
A nanny who lives locally and can manage the early mornings would be ideal. There may also be the possibility of accommodation becoming available within the house from January, should the successful candidate be interested in a live-in arrangement.
The family are looking for someone who can become a genuine teammate to Mum, helping to make everyday life easier and bringing a calm, capable presence to the household.
