Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a confident and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join a thriving nursery setting in LS28 and support the Nursery Manager in delivering outstanding care and education for children.

The Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and education are consistently maintained. You will lead by example, support staff development, and help create a positive environment where children can thrive.

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification (minimum requirement)
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• Experience in a senior practitioner, room leader, deputy manager, or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
• Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the nursery
• Lead and motivate staff to deliver exceptional childcare and education
• Monitor children's progress and ensure EYFS standards are met
• Conduct observations, assessments, and support planning for learning and development
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals
• Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management
• Act as the Nursery Manager in their absence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
